Find energy and balance through the ancient practices of Kundalini yoga and yantra meditation. Each session in this seven-week series will focus on one of the main energy centers of the body: the root, the sacrum, the solar plexus, the heart, the throat, the third eye, and the crown of the head. Each week’s exploration will include a short lecture, yogic movement, breath work, sound, and a meditation while coloring a sacred shape known as a yantra.
Meditating on a yantra has a subconscious positive effect on the energy center the shape represents. The intention of this course is for you to deepen your understanding of your energy body, or pranamaya kosha, and how this body affects your relationships with yourself and your environment. You will be given practices to help these energy centers remain balanced so you can fully enjoy your life and face its challenges. Please note that you may join this series at any time, and no prior yoga experience is necessary to benefit from this class.
