There’s nothing like the surface of good watercolor paper. But if you’re looking to bridge onto other surfaces that have become available, this is a great class in which to try some new materials. Aquaboard is a product that has a watercolor receptive gesso glazed onto a light but tough, thin Masonite board. Traditional techniques of watercolor work on the surface, though some in slightly different ways. Come try your hand at working with this new material. Once your work is complete, learn to varnish your piece so that you can frame your artwork without having to mat it or put it under glass! Throughout the duration of this workshop, Margaret will discuss watercolor techniques and colors.
