Come join our cast of The Little Mermaid JR, the inaugural production of ArtisTree’s Grange Theater. The first performance in this summer’s ArtisTree Music Theatre Festival, The Little Mermaid JR will be led by a team of professional theater artists!
Marc de la Concha (Chief Instructor/Director) holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from SUNY Fredonia and has been working for the past 10 years as an actor and educator both nationally and internationally. Marc most recently spent a year at the Gyeonggi English Village in Paju, South Korea writing and directing original ESL musicals. He has also performed in National Tours of The Drowsy Chaperone, Peter Pan and Discover Theater: Featuring Disney’s Cinderella and Disney’s The Jungle Book. Other recent directing credits include Nunsense, James and the Giant Peach, Pirates: the Musical, The Lion King KIDS, Into The Woods, A Charlie Brown Christmas, The Kitchen Witches and Church Basement Ladies.
Renee Kathleen Koher (Instructor/Mermaid Coach) is originally from Chicago, IL. She has her BFA in Musical Theater from The Hartt School. She has worked for multiple professional theaters throughout the USA and internationally. She began working for the Walt Disney Company in 2002, beginning on Disney Cruise Line where she became friends with everyone’s favorite Little Mermaid. She continued to work on Disney Cruise Line for two years, and then moved to Tokyo, Japan to perform in Under The Sea, an incredible show about Ariel, The Little Mermaid, that took place in the air above the audience. Her aerial and Ariel training continued for four years in Japan. Renee performed in multiple shows for Tokyo Disney Resort, and has a huge love for Disney. She has continued performing in multiple Disney musicals after returning from The States, including Disney's Tarzan, Disney's The Little Mermaid and Disney's Beauty And The Beast. She is very much looking forward to sharing her experience and training with the participants of The Little Mermaid JR.
Susan Lamontagne (Instructor/Choreographer) After taking a break after 20 years of performing professionally on Broadway, National Tours & Europe, Susan has been directing, choreographing and teaching many forms of theater arts. She is also on staff with Lebanon Ballet School. Her Upper Valley choreography credits include Cabaret, Cats (Director/Choreographer), The Rocky Horror Show, NCCT's Once on This Island, Beauty And The Beast, On The Town (Director/Choreographer- Finalist for Best Teen NH Show & Choreographer), A Funny Thing Happened... Forum, 42nd Street (finalist for Best Choreographer-NH Theater Awards) and Opera North's My Fair Lady.
Josh D. Smith (Instructor/Festival Artistic Director) has music directed and/or accompanied numerous productions throughout the US; including Pentangle/ArtisTree Theatre and Northern Stage in Vermont; Arizona Broadway Theatre; Prather Entertainment Group in Lancaster, PA; the Arundel Barn Playhouse in Maine; Jersey Shore Entertainment and Surflight Theatre in New Jersey; Downstairs Cabaret Theatre; Syracuse Stage; Cortland Repertory Theatre and Capital Repertory Theatre in Upstate New York. Josh was the resident Musical Director at the Mac-Haydn Theatre in Chatham, NY for nine seasons. He was named 2013 Central New York (SALT) Musical Director of the Year by the Syracuse New Times. His musical arrangements have been heard in venues across the country including 54 Below and The Laurie Beechman Theatre in Manhattan. Josh is originally from Syracuse, NY, where he served as coach/accompanist with Syracuse University Drama. Josh has his Masters in Music and is a nationally certified K-12 educator.
Lizzie Webb (Instructor/Music Director) Lizzie has served as a music director, accompanist and actor for musical theatre all over the state of Montana as well as regionally. In 2016/2017, she spent most of her time music directing and conducting shows for the Arizona Broadway Theatre in the Phoenix Valley. Favorite shows she has music directed include Carousel, Pageant, Les Misérables, Footloose, A Grand Night for Singing, The Rocky Horror Show, Legally Blonde, Grease and Hair. In 2011, her talents took her to New York City, where she music directed the show Blood for the New York Musical Theatre Festival. Lizzie earned a Masters of Music in Musical Theatre from the University of Montana in 2011, and was an adjunct assistant professor of musical theatre at the University of Montana and the director of the UM Cabaret Ensemble from 2013-2016. When not music directing, Lizzie is a voice coach and accompanist, as well as an avid crafter, dog lover and traveler.
