Landscape drawing has a rich and lively tradition. Working en plein air (in the open air) allows artists the opportunity to capture the light, color, and feel of a place. Our site affords us stunning vistas, abundant in beauty and richness. We will explore how to capture this beauty in drawing. Using smaller thumbnails studies, we will examine what makes an interesting composition, creating depth and foreground interest. If you desire you will learn how to manipulate a variety of different drawing materials, such as charcoal, ink, conté crayon, and pastel. Learn how to create depth and richness in your drawings and about linear and atmospheric perspective. Learning to draw is very much about learning to see. Your experience in this class will allow you to see as you may have never seen before.
Learn to “see” and draw our beautiful landscapes in this engaging course.
