Fundamental to being a successful artist or designer is a good working understanding of color.Join us to explore our perception of color and how both light and pigment color mix. We’ll begin with some of the basic exercises created by Josef Albers in his famous color theory classes at Yale that inspired college art courses around the country for decades, and then go even further to include contemporary materials and technology. Our sessions will explore the relativity of color, mixing and matching, color harmonies, how combinations of colors create an emotional “key,” and even our personal color predilections.
