Oh, PaintJoy!

Oh PaintJoy, how I love thee.... For me, it all started with PaintJoy. It might be helpful for you to see what the app looks like in the App Store so you can find it.

I've created hundreds of doodles in PaintJoy. Here are just a few examples.

I feel it's important to choose a good background color for a PaintJoy doodle. Here I illustrate how to change the background color and how it import a photo. It's a great place to start.

The PaintJoy palette easily captures the colors you create so you can choose them again and toggle between colors. Here's a demo of the color palette.

PaintJoy may not have as many brush options as Procreate, but remember that this is a free kid's app, and it still has a lot to offer. Here are some examples of PaintJoy brushes.

In my next video blog, let's do a PaintJoy doodle together and import it into Procreate and Enlight and do all sorts of fun stuff to that doodle. Perhaps you'll get hooked, like I did!

Thank for watching.

Yours truly,

Diana Mellar
