Discover the arts as a mindfulness tool for self-discovery and inquiry. All activities will be aimed at increasing mindfulness, which is an awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose and without judgment, to the present moment. Mindfulness practice can improve concentration and reduce the symptoms of anxiety and stress. In addition to more traditional mindfulness practices, such as guided imagery and meditation, we will engage in activities such as sculpture, painting, writing and outdoor exploration.
Use the arts and traditional mindfulness practices to bring about a greater sense of presence, compassion, and inner calm.
